Thunder storms and camping are not a good mix!
I barely slept all weekend, one minute it was hot and the dog's were panting so I would open all of the windows, then it would be windy and noisy so I would get up and shut them again, than hot again..............im still tired.
I also managed to fall quite badly on Saturday whilst running Holly, I hit my head, my back crunched and I think I have whip lash but a strange man caught Holly and she was ok with it, that's a massive step forward for her.
I didn't get the best results, Ty is really pushing his contacts at the moment and he seems to be getting faster as he gets older. Holly and Flake are starting to feel much more comfortable in G6, Flake even went clear on a hard Olympia Qualifier course.
Zazu got his first 2 clear rounds in agility, his contacts were lovely but he was very slow in his weaves so I need to do some work on this.
Emmy only had 2 jumping classes, on Saturday she was completely wild which was a shame because the course really suited her. On Sunday she had a nice clear and tied with another course for a run off, it was the first time I had been called for a run off but I didn't do it as I had to run Flake in the Crufts so I settled for the lower place.
I've got the Diamond show this weekend but my main focus is on getting the dog's ready for KC festival and making sure they have solid contacts.
I'm running a fun competition on 18th August which is open to everyone, it's a great chance for beginners to have a go at a competition in a no pressure environment and for more experience dog's to train contacts in the ring. Contact me for a booking form if you would like to come.
Flake was 8th in this agility
