I went to this show for the EO try-out's with Ty, I'm not completely happy with how I performed in this. On the first day I really struggled to get the courses in my head, normally I walk a course twice and I've got it but on Saturday I just couldn't get them flowing when I practiced them in my head. I didn't think I was nervous but I must have been. Ty did some brilliant stuff though, his contacts were fab and his weaves have never been so good, he got some really hard entries and stayed in when I pulled away. By Sunday I felt much more chilled, had stopped over walking and over thinking everything and just let it happen. I made a stupid mistake on the start of the first sequence, the second was quite easy but had a weave entry that required complete independance which he nailed. We also managed a clear (I think) in the last round with just a blip coming out of the tunnel before the weaves so the time wasn't great. I think I need more experience in this type of competition so I'm thinking of doing the FAB shows to see if I can qualify for the IFCS world championships. All 4 dog's can do the qualifiers so I would get lots of practice.
They were amazing! Holly and Flake in particular were so consistent ( not something I ever thought I would say about Holly). 7 top 3 placing's between them and Flake has qualified for the Pro plan finals. Holly is now Grade 6, I've just done all of her grade changes and it's so strange entering her for crufts qualifiers.
Here are their results.
1st combined 3-5 agility
1st graded 4,5 agility
3rd combined 3-5 agility
2nd graded4,5 jumping
2nd grade 4,5 agility
2nd combined 3-5 agility Pro-plan qualifier
2nd graded4,5 agility
Im not competing next weekend so the dog's will have a quiet week with lots of walks then we'll do a bit of training next week before Vyne :)
