Thing's just aren't going how I want them to at the moment, first Zazu was ill then De didn't come into season in time to breed her so we didn't have a litter. Then Flake broke her canine tooth which had to be removed under anesthetic so I decided to have her speyed at the same time. Then I got my first cold of the winter and just as I was recovering from that my back seized up (this normally happens when im stressed so no surprise really). The weather has made my training and fitness plans with the dogs really hard to stick to and forced me to cancel a whole weekends lessons!
Im really looking forward to the competition season and spending time away in my caravan with my dogs but im struggling to see how im going to be ready.
I ran a running the course evening on Thursday, I planned to take Ty and Holly but after their walk in the morning Ty looked a bit lame :( he wouldn't let me touch his foot and he seems fine now so I asume it was a thorne but I have booked him in for a check at the Smart clinic anyway. So I just ran Holly and took Cally for some socialising instead, Holly was pretty good, her weaves in particular have improved loads lately. The thing she did keep doing was pulling off of jumps when I tried to peel away so I will be working on that. Im still getting to know Cally, she seems to be happy with people as long as they don't put preasure on her, as soon as they try to say hello she panics so ive been rewarding her lots just for being around people. She's been really good with dog's although if they snap at her she does react, this doesn't bother me too much but I will be working on getting her to move away from dog's in this situation rather than taking them on. Here's some pic's, just because I like them :)
They were pretty annoyed that I made them stop for a photo! Ty is developing selective hearing out on walks, naughty boy!
Zazu is milking all the attention he can get from everyone one, he is the sweetest boy :)
Ty had his vaccination a few weeks ago and the vet comented that he must be chewing stones as his teeth are pretty warn but it's not stones it's bowls and buckets and wood, generally anything he can get in his mouth. I gave Tricky a good brush today, she could do with a bath but it's just too cold.
Flake is desperate to play tug but her jaw is fragile from having the tooth removed so she's having to make do with holding the toy for now :)
My 2 rescue girls :)
