I don't think I've been so hot since I went to Bali!
I didn't perform very well over the weekend, I think partly because so much of my focus was on keeping the dog's cool rather than running them. I also managed to miss the jumping round of the Champ class (if you miss your order you can't run) so I had no chance of getting into the final. I ran the agility round to try and win it as you get 10 credits towards international competition. He was doing awesome round, absolutely flying and so on the edge, then I made one mistake at the second to last jump which got him faulted :(
Emmy got a 6th in G5 jumping, I loved running her jumping rounds and she did too.
Zazu was a very clever boy, he's still not doing 12 weaves but he got 6 every time. He was close to clear rounds a couple of times but just made baby mistakes. He's such a good boy and try's his best all of the time. I don't expect anything of him I'm just gratefull that I can run him.
It was Flake's 1st G6 show. She coped quite well with the courses but they did show up a couple of thing's that I need to work on. She was a bit confused by the difficult weave entries, she does them at home but isn't used to seeing them at show's so will work on this a bit when it's cool enough. She's also not used to me racing past her contacts so I need to work on this.
Holly was wild again but also did a couple of brilliant rounds with just 1 mistake, I'm starting to feel like we are getting it together in G6 so hopefully we will start getting some results soon.
On a not so good note, over the weekend a dog at the junior European open a dog was badly injured going into a pipe tunnel, it broke it's neck and could not be saved. It is the first time I have herd of an injury like this in agility, the details about the tunnel are not known yet. It does show that we need to make our own safety checks when competing and training our dog's, don't just assume that thing's will be safe and don't be afraid to speak up if you think something is not safe.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
