I had such a good weekend at this show, the weather was lovely, I had lot's of friends there and the dog's went really well.
Kev and Misty also came 3rd in the colimanor final on Saturday night :) Misty is Ty's Daughter.
We also managed to get 7 of Ty's pup's together for a photo, it's a shame Becky didn't go on Sunday or we could have had 7 of the 8 pups from the Ty and Tricky litter (the 8th is in New Zealand).
(L-R) Tyke, Diggit, Tarique, Misty, Spring, Coco and Flake.
He make's the most beautiful babies :) Im now on a mission to find him another girlfriend.
Back to the competition, I took Ty to Smart on The Tuesday before the show as he hadn't been going very well. Tamzin found a few tight spots which she sorted out but nothing serious.
I took the dog's for a gentle walk on the Wednesday morning, when I got home I found Ty had pulled off a toe nail and had a graze on his back, so he was on strict bed rest for the rest of the week (on my bed) he spent most of his time watching me out of the window with my slipper in his mouth.
I only ran him in the champ on Sunday in which he was amazing, his time in the champ agility was 1 sec faster than the winner with a brick out of the wall. He also went clear in the jumping so got into the final. It was lovely to have so many friends there when I was running in the final, Im sure a lot of them could have gone home much earlier than they did. Unfortunatly he missed the weave entry but never mind.
Flake was awesome all weekend, I held her contacts in all of her agility rounds to make sure that she is solid on them at her first G6 show this weekend. These were her results
2nd G5 agility
5th G3-5 Novice Olympia agility
5th G3-5 Novice Dog Vegas agility
1st G5 jumping
I'm really excited about running her this weekend, she just gives me so much it makes my job really easy.
Holly was wild on Saturday but I felt much more in tune with her on Sunday, she did a lovely round in G6,7 jumping I just pulled her off the tunnel.
Irana borrowed Emmy and did some really good stuff with her.
On the same day Ty hurt himself Zazu got his leg stuck in the feed cupboard, he was sore for a couple of day's after so I didn't train him then when I tried to run him at the show Saturday morning he wouldn't do a jump on a right bend so I took him out and didn't run him for the rest of the weekend, I assume he was still a bit sore although he didn't show any signs of it no matter how much I pulled him about, he seem's better now so hopefully he will be fine for Rugby this weekend. Here's Ty's champ agility run and Flake's win.
This is an article I've told a few people about, it make's a lot of sense and is worth a read.
